Use bath gels, gentle soaps which have botanical ingredients to cleanse your skin. Here are the steps you need to follow for cleansing your skin.
Wash your face gently with a facial cleanser and pat the skin dry with a fluffy and soft towel.
Steam to Open the Pores
Steam approximately for 5 minutes and then gently wipe the face with a facial tissue, don’t be harsh on your skin. This step is best for oily skin. Massage your face with an ice cube in a circular motion after the above steps gets over. This helps to tighten the pores and help to bring back the skin temperature to normal.
Scrub to remove Dead Cells
Apply face scrub and keep it for a few minutes as it helps eliminate dead skin cells that make your skin look dull. Apply a mix of sugar and honey in equal parts to exfoliate your skin. Scrub your face for 5 to 6 minutes, and then leave it on for another 5 minutes before you wash it off gently.
Apply Face Pack to Improve Skin Tone
Doesn’t matter what type of skin you have but the application of a moisturising face pack makes your skin soft, supple and improves your skin tone to a greater extent. For oily skin apply a face pack that contains multani mitti (fuller’s earth) as it is known to soak up excess oil. Tomato and papaya are also known to have cleansing and tightening effect on the skin. For normal to dry skin mix sandalwood powder with rosewater and apply the paste on your face till it dries up, then clean your face gently.
Tone your Skin
Apply a home-made toner made out of cucumber juice and rose water and maintain the pH balance of the skin.
